{"id":41563,"date":"2025-04-24T08:45:39","date_gmt":"2025-04-24T07:45:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/?p=41563"},"modified":"2025-04-25T10:59:06","modified_gmt":"2025-04-25T09:59:06","slug":"full-fibre-broadband-isp-hyperoptic-suffers-uk-service-outage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2025\/04\/full-fibre-broadband-isp-hyperoptic-suffers-uk-service-outage.html","title":{"rendered":"Full Fibre Broadband ISP Hyperoptic Suffers UK Service Outage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some customers of city-focused UK ISP <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/hyperopticfibre\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Hyperoptic<\/a>, which since 2011 claims to have deployed an alternative full fibre (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/fttp\">FTTP<\/a>\/B) network to reach \u201c<em>more than<\/em>\u201d 1.73 million homes in parts of 64 towns and cities, appear to be suffering from a sizeable but partial network outage this morning.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The outage started at around 7am and the provider issued the following statement via social media shortly after that: &#8220;<em>We&#8217;re currently facing service disruptions in a number of areas. Our team is on it and working hard to get everything back up and running. We&#8217;ll keep you posted with any updates right here. Thanks so much for your patience and understanding!<\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The provider does also offer its own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hyperoptic.com\/network-status\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Network Status<\/a> page, but this sits behind a postcode checker and didn&#8217;t appear to be working when we tried it earlier. Upon submitting a postcode, it simply returned a rather nondescript error message to say &#8220;<em>Some issue occurred<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>However, at the time of writing, we can see that complaints appear to be falling from their peak and hopefully this means the issue may have been resolved.
