{"id":4188,"date":"2013-09-26T13:51:50","date_gmt":"2013-09-26T12:51:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/?p=4188"},"modified":"2013-09-26T13:52:21","modified_gmt":"2013-09-26T12:52:21","slug":"essex-uk-published-bduk-superfast-broadband-deployment-map","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2013\/09\/essex-uk-published-bduk-superfast-broadband-deployment-map.html","title":{"rendered":"Essex UK Publish BDUK Superfast Broadband Deployment Map"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The \u00a325 Million <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2013\/08\/essex-uk-signs-gbp25million-superfast-broadband-rollout-deal-with-bt.html\" target=\"_blank\">Superfast Essex<\/a> project, which aims to make <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/britishtelecom\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">BT<\/a>&#8217;s \u201c<em>fibre broadband<\/em>\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/fttc\">FTTC<\/a>\/P) network available to \u201c<em>around<\/em>\u201d 87% of premises by the end of summer 2016, has today become the next to publish an indicative map of its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/bduk\" target=\"_blank\">Broadband Delivery UK<\/a> (BDUK) rollout.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Admittedly Essex&#8217;s BDUK Project has already shown a rough <a href=\"http:\/\/www.superfastessex.org\/Maps.aspx\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Map of its Intervention Area<\/strong><\/a> but the new one is a lot more descriptive and provides a better overall view of the expected rollout, although much like all the rest it still suffers from a lack of detail.<\/p>\n<p>Areas outlined in Dark Orange are set to start benefitting from superfast broadband (25Mbps+) in 2014, while those with a Light Orange will see the service arrive in 2015 and Yellow areas from 2016. Meanwhile areas marked with Light Green can expect standard broadband speeds of between 2Mbps and up to 24Mbps.
