Customers of PlusNet<\/a>’s broadband service should soon gain access to the BTSport TV service but it’s not being offered for free and oddly it only appears to be available over the Sky Digital TV (satellite<\/a>) platform.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

PlusNet<\/a> is a sibling of BT<\/a> but the two are semi-independent of one another and tend to adopt different approaches, which is one reason why PlusNet<\/a> often scores considerably higher for aspects like customer support. As a result most people have been expecting PlusNet to do something with BT<\/a> Sport but until now nobody could be sure what their approach would be.<\/p>\n

A recent update to the ISPs price guide for residential products<\/a> appears to show that customers can now benefit from a cheaper BTSport<\/strong> deal than most Sky Broadband<\/a> and Virgin Media<\/a> subscribers (credits to a516digital<\/a>), whom are usually forced to pay from \u00a312 a month for the service (\u00a315 for the HD channels); except on Virgin’s top bundles where it’s included at no extra cost.<\/p>\n

At present this is all the information we have and PlusNet has yet to make an official announcement or promote the inclusion of BTSport via their product pages. Naturally we have reached out to the ISP for comment and hope to add their response shortly.<\/p>\n
