Internet and web hosting provider Freeola<\/a> has complemented their existing range of Openreach<\/a>-based broadband (FTTC<\/a>\/P) packages by quietly launching a new range of complementary packages via two alternative networks, Freedom Fibre<\/a> and CityFibre<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Just to recap. CityFibre<\/a>’s full fibre (FTTP<\/a>) network current covers around 4.5 million premises across the UK, while Freedom Fibre<\/a>’s similar infrastructure covers 350,000 premises across parts of Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Staffordshire, Suffolk, Essex and North Shropshire in England.<\/p>\n

The new Freedom Fibre<\/a> based packages tend to range from around \u00a336.72 per month for symmetric speeds of 100Mbps on a short 30-day term and rise to \u00a355.44 for their top 2300Mbps tier. Oddly the monthly prices for longer 12 and 24 month terms are actually slightly more expensive (normally ISPs entice users to lock-in for longer with lower pricing), although you do get free setup with those (saving \u00a360 one-off).<\/p>\n

As for the CityFibre<\/a> based packages, they range from \u00a332.40 for a symmetric 150Mbps service on a 30-day term and rise up to \u00a350.04 for their top 2300Mbps tier. But once again the 12 and 24 month terms seem to attract a more expensive monthly rental, albeit saving between \u00a330 and \u00a365.28 on the setup fee.<\/p>\n
