{"id":44133,"date":"2025-12-08T12:13:37","date_gmt":"2025-12-08T12:13:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/?p=44133"},"modified":"2025-12-08T12:13:37","modified_gmt":"2025-12-08T12:13:37","slug":"talkmobile-deploy-support-for-vodafone-and-three-uk-network-roaming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2025\/12\/talkmobile-deploy-support-for-vodafone-and-three-uk-network-roaming.html","title":{"rendered":"Talkmobile Deploy Support for Vodafone and Three UK Network Roaming"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Customers of mobile provider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/talkmobile\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Talkmobile<\/a>, which is a virtual operator (MVNO) on parent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/vodafoneuk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Vodafone<\/a>&#8217;s (VodafoneThree) national UK <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/4g\">4G<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/5g\">5G<\/a> network, have been notified that they too can now &#8220;<em>automatically use both the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/vodafoneuk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Vodafone<\/a> and Three networks<\/em>&#8221; (i.e. the new Multi-Operator Core Network or MOCN &#8211; detailed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2025\/06\/vodafonethree-outline-future-uk-network-plans-and-4g-to-5g-speed-boosts.html\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2025\/06\/vodafone-clarifies-plans-for-joint-network-roaming-with-three-uk.html\">here<\/a>).<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Just to recap. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vodafonethree.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">VodafoneThree<\/a> has so far upgraded 8,000 UK mast sites to implement MOCN, which enables customers to roam across both networks at no extra cost (whichever one provides the best signal). But it&#8217;s expected to take a total of 8 years to fully complete the roll-out of these upgrades (it&#8217;ll be 95% complete after 6 years).<\/p>\n<p>Customers who take their mobile services directly from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/vodafoneuk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Vodafone<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/threeuk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Three UK<\/a> have naturally been the first to fully benefit, but it&#8217;s already known that the plan was to extend this to include sibling virtual operators <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/voxi\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">VOXI<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/talkmobile\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Talkmobile<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/smarty\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Smarty<\/a> too.
