But it won&#8217;t impact everybody, yet.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The change, which is in line with <a class=\"shortlink shortlink-133 shortlink-chref\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/ofcom\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"\" title=\"ofcom\" data-chref=\"https:\/\/www.ofcom.org.uk\">Ofcom<\/a>&#8217;s new policy (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2025\/01\/ofcom-enforce-ban-on-some-mid-contract-uk-broadband-price-hikes.html\">here<\/a>), was first technically introduced by <a class=\"shortlink shortlink-80\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/threeuk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"three uk\">Three UK<\/a> (and <a class=\"shortlink shortlink-90\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/vodafoneuk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"vodafone\">Vodafone<\/a>) back in early November 2025 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2025\/11\/vodafone-uk-increases-mid-contract-price-hikes-on-broadband-and-mobile.html\">here<\/a>). But at the time that only applied to new customers, while the latest change extends the policy to some existing customer. The exact increase customers see will be dependent on when your current contract started (this may be when you joined Three or last upgraded your account) &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.three.co.uk\/support\/bills-and-contracts\/your-monthly-plan-and-usage\/price-increase-1apr26\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">details<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, customers who joined or upgraded their phone, SIM Only, Mobile Broadband or Home Broadband plan between 1st November 2022 and 7th September 2024, and are still within the minimum term of your contract on 31<sup>st<\/sup> March 2026, will still be subject to an increase each April by the preceding December CPI rate of 3.4% + 3.9% (total increase of 7.3%). Otherwise, it&#8217;ll be the pounds and pence method.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bq1\"><p><strong>Three UK Statement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;From 1st April 2026, we\u2019re updating your annual price increase terms to a more transparent approach, which moves away from % based price rises and uses amounts shown in pounds and pence, so that you can see more clearly what the change to your monthly charge will be from April each year.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Similar to many other mobile providers, our Pay Monthly plans are subject to an annual price change.\u202fThe increases reflect inflationary pressures we are facing as a business including energy prices, supplier increases, and increased staffing costs.
