{"id":47652,"date":"2026-08-11T07:03:10","date_gmt":"2026-08-11T06:03:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/?p=47652"},"modified":"2026-08-11T12:55:39","modified_gmt":"2026-08-11T11:55:39","slug":"13500-talktalk-uk-broadband-and-phone-customers-sold-to-fleur-telecom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2026\/08\/13500-talktalk-uk-broadband-and-phone-customers-sold-to-fleur-telecom.html","title":{"rendered":"13,500 TalkTalk UK Broadband and Phone Customers Sold to Fleur Telecom UPDATE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Internet service provider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/tt\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">TalkTalk<\/a> has shifted a further 13,500 of their broadband customers to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fleurtelecom.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fleur Telecom<\/a>, which is one of the UK ISPs controlled by the Horsham-based <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telecomacquisitions.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Telecom Acquisitions Group<\/a> (TAL) &#8211; the holding company for a number of familiar retail broadband brands (Home Telecom, Eclipse Broadband etc.).<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The move marks the latest piecemeal disposal of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/tt\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">TalkTalk<\/a>&#8217;s residential broadband base, which only last week unexpectedly sold a further 120,000 of their customers to the relatively new ISP <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/risefibre\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Rise Fibre<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2026\/08\/broadband-isp-talktalk-sells-130000-uk-customers-to-rise-fibre.html\">here<\/a>). Prior to that they also sold customers to UW (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2025\/07\/broadband-isp-talktalk-moves-more-customers-to-utility-warehouse.html\">here<\/a>) and previously conducted several smaller sales to TAL (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2026\/04\/tal-acquires-3000-uk-customers-from-talktalk-owned-origin-broadband.html\">here<\/a>) &#8211; mostly reflecting the remaining base of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/tt\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">TalkTalk<\/a>&#8217;s defunct <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/originbb\" target=\"_blank\">Origin Broadband<\/a> provider.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bq2\"><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> TalkTalk has a significant controlling stake in the Telecom Acquisitions Group (TAL).<\/div>\n<p>All 13,500 customers will &#8220;<em>keep their existing pricing, terms, and conditions<\/em>&#8221; from <strong>1st September 2026<\/strong>, and have been notified directly by TalkTalk. Following the transfer, their service will be supported by TAL&#8217;s UK-based service centre, with 24-hour support available. The same team supports TAL&#8217;s Home Telecom brand. Each new customer will gain access to a mobile app to help manage and enhance their experience.<\/p>\n<p>TAL describes itself as being &#8220;<em>well placed across the market, offering services from all of the traditional network suppliers alongside layer 2 and layer 3 connections with the majority of UK altnets<\/em>&#8220;. As a group, TAL says they&#8217;ve grown to over 80,000 customers, with a projected 2027 turnover of circa \u00a333m. The company said they plan to continue this trajectory through &#8220;<em>organic growth and further acquisitions<\/em>&#8221; as opportunities arise.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bq1\"><p><strong>Nigel Barnett, CEO of Telecom Acquisitions Limited, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is another exciting opportunity to put our copper switch-off expertise to work. To date we have moved more than 8,000 customers off WLR and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/adsl\">ADSL<\/a> services onto the latest products. We are delighted to welcome these new customers, many of whom have been on the TalkTalk network for more than 20 years. That loyalty deserves to be respected, and we will make sure the transfer is seamless. The group continues to grow year on year, and over the last eighteen months much of our focus has been on the copper switch-off and on introducing AI into our internal systems. Both put us in a strong position to deliver this transfer smoothly between now and the end of the year.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The deal comes at an unusual time for TalkTalk&#8217;s debt-strained Consumer business, which is currently said to be fielding interest from several prospective buyers including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/vodafoneuk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Vodafone<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2026\/06\/vodafonethree-places-bid-for-uk-consumer-broadband-isp-talktalk.html\">here<\/a>) and Opus Broadband (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2026\/08\/octopus-investments-reportedly-set-to-buy-talktalks-uk-wholesale-business.html\">here<\/a>). But every piecemeal agreement made to dispose of their base tends to raise more question marks over the overall value of TalkTalk\u2019s remaining customers (roughly 1.5m at this point).<\/p>\n<p>At present it&#8217;s unclear whether a prospective buyer for the provider&#8217;s consumer business would take on the whole company (brand, customers, support teams etc.) or just its remaining customer base. In recent months TalkTalk has also paused the sale of some broadband and digital phone products to new customers (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2026\/06\/isp-talktalk-pauses-sale-of-fttc-broadband-lines-to-new-uk-customers.html\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2026\/06\/broadband-isp-talktalk-pause-sale-of-digital-voice-to-new-uk-customers.html\">here<\/a>), while also unexpectedly shutting down their customer discussion forum without a clear explanation or timescale for its return (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2026\/06\/community-forum-for-uk-broadband-isp-talktalk-goes-down-for-several-days.html\">here<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATE 12:52pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>TAL has informed us that these customers are the ones that are on WLR and Broadband that need to be sorted before the PSTN\/WLR copper line switch off in January 2027. In short, TAL said they have the time, resources and software to implement these far quicker than TalkTalk would have directly.
