{"id":48063,"date":"2026-09-15T14:27:19","date_gmt":"2026-09-15T13:27:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/?p=48063"},"modified":"2026-09-15T14:31:41","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T13:31:41","slug":"zen-internet-expand-wi-fi-7-routers-and-launch-2-5gbps-broadband-via-ms3s-uk-fibre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2026\/09\/zen-internet-expand-wi-fi-7-routers-and-launch-2-5gbps-broadband-via-ms3s-uk-fibre.html","title":{"rendered":"Zen Internet expand Wi-Fi 7 routers and launch 2.5Gbps broadband via MS3&#8217;s UK fibre"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rochdale-based UK ISP <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/zen_internet\" target=\"_blank\">Zen Internet<\/a>, which began selling packages via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/ms3\" target=\"_blank\">MS3<\/a>\u2019s full fibre (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/fttp\">FTTP<\/a>) network in parts of Hull (East Yorkshire) and Lincolnshire in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2026\/06\/zen-internet-start-selling-broadband-via-ms3s-uk-full-fibre-network.html\">June 2026<\/a>, has now revealed that they&#8217;ve made even faster speeds of 2.5Gbps (2.3Gbps average) available to new residential and business customers covered by the network. Separately, more of Zen&#8217;s packages now include Wi-Fi 7 routers as standard.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The new top package is currently priced from \u00a345 per month on a 24-month term (\u00a354 thereafter), which includes symmetric speeds of 2.3Gbps (average), free installation, a pledge of no mid-contract price hikes, a Wi-Fi 7 router and an included static IP address. The new package is particularly interesting because, if you live in Hull, you can now get a much faster package than local incumbent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/kcom\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">KCOM<\/a> are able to offer and for less money.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bq2\"><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/ms3\" target=\"_blank\">MS3<\/a> is backed by \u00a3100m from investors like <strong>Asterion<\/strong> and supported by ISPs such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/tt\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">TalkTalk<\/a>, Open Fibre, Squirrel Internet, MTH Networks, Home Telecom etc. The operator\u2019s network currently covers 238,806 UK premises (a lot of that is in Hull) and is home to 22,184 customers (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2026\/06\/ms3-results-reveal-uk-full-fibre-broadband-network-has-22184-customers.html\">here<\/a>).<\/div>\n<p>The development also comes shortly after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/zen_internet\" target=\"_blank\">Zen Internet<\/a> quietly, and separately, made <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/amazon\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Amazon<\/a>&#8217;s eero 7 routers the standard kit on their Full Fibre 500Mbps and Full Fibre 900Mbps packages (replacing their previous <b>FRITZ!Box<\/b> routers), which followed a similar change on their Full Fibre Max package last month. This applies to all of their full fibre networks (e.g. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/openreach\" target=\"_blank\">Openreach<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/cityfibre\" target=\"_blank\">CityFibre<\/a> and more) and not only packages sold via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/ms3\" target=\"_blank\">MS3<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Regular readers might recall that, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2024\/08\/broadband-isp-zen-internet-uk-to-launch-wi-fi-7-router-and-2gbps-fttp.html\">until recently<\/a>, it was previously only possible to get <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/amazon\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Amazon<\/a>&#8217;s eero Pro 6E router on Zen&#8217;s residential broadband services above 1Gbps, with the option for customers to upgrade to the eero Max 7. But last month they changed the eero Pro 6E for the eero 7 (&#8216;Max&#8217; is still a paid upgrade) and now that&#8217;s been extended to more packages.<\/p>\n<p>The catch is that while eero routers are reasonable bits of kit and easy for ISPs to manage, they do tend to lack some features that more advanced users tend to seek (e.g. only two Ethernet ports on the back).
