{"id":4963,"date":"2013-12-24T13:25:03","date_gmt":"2013-12-24T13:25:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/?p=4963"},"modified":"2013-12-24T13:25:03","modified_gmt":"2013-12-24T13:25:03","slug":"bt-openreach-recruits-42-new-uk-engineers-south-west","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2013\/12\/bt-openreach-recruits-42-new-uk-engineers-south-west.html","title":{"rendered":"BT Openreach Recruits 42 New UK Engineers in the South West"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BTOpenreach has announced the addition of 42 new &#8220;<em>high-speed fibre broadband<\/em>&#8221; telecoms engineers to serve areas including Exeter, Taunton, Plymouth, Bristol and Salisbury in England.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The successful applicants, whom will help to build <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/britishtelecom\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">BT<\/a>&#8217;s national <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/fttc\">FTTC<\/a>\/P superfast broadband network, include mature ex-armed forces personnel and young people in their teens and early 20s. All are apparently being offered <strong>18-month fixed term contracts<\/strong>, once they complete an initial <strong>five-week training<\/strong> program that is.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bq1\"><p><strong>Jon Reynolds, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/britishtelecom\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">BT<\/a> South West Regional Director, said: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>We have been impressed by the high standard of our latest recruits, who come from a wide range of backgrounds and careers. They have shown a great enthusiasm for the work and the huge benefits this exciting technology is bringing to the South West.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>It\u2019s skilled, interesting work which will give the successful recruits the chance to gain experience in a fast-paced, constantly evolving industry.
