The \u00a335.44 million e-Sussex<\/a> project has today announced the next batch of Phase 3 locations in East Sussex (England), which will benefit from superfast broadband (25Mbps+) speeds under the joint Broadband Delivery UK<\/a> programme with BT<\/a>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Overall the project aims to make BT<\/a>’s superfast FTTC<\/a>\/P technology available to 99% of East Sussex<\/strong> premises in England by mid-2016 (note: 96% will get “superfast<\/em>” speeds). Sadly the latest update doesn’t make mention of any dates, although with Phase 2 due to start connecting customers during the autumn then we’d anticipate Phase 3 to follow in either late 2014 or early 2015.<\/p>\n

The project, which claims to be running “ahead of schedule despite adverse weather<\/em>“, is particularly keen to mention Isfield<\/strong> because “it is the only exchange in East Sussex which cannot provide broadband and is only capable of dial up.
