{"id":6723,"date":"2014-05-07T13:51:55","date_gmt":"2014-05-07T12:51:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/?p=6723"},"modified":"2014-05-07T13:51:55","modified_gmt":"2014-05-07T12:51:55","slug":"o2-bt-wholesale-sign-uk-fixed-line-ict-services-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2014\/05\/o2-bt-wholesale-sign-uk-fixed-line-ict-services-partnership.html","title":{"rendered":"O2 and BT Wholesale Sign UK Fixed Line and ICT Services Partnership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mobile operator <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/o2uk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">O2<\/a> UK might have sold off their fixed line Home Broadband and Phone customers to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/bskyb\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Sky Broadband<\/a> (BSkyB) last year,\u00a0yet a new 5-year partnership extension deal signed with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/britishtelecom\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">BT<\/a> Wholesale today means that the business side of their service(s) will continue to be expanded via a &#8220;<em>fully-integrated suite of ICT services<\/em>&#8221; to include mobile, Ethernet and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/fttc\">FTTC<\/a> &#8220;<em>fibre broadband for the very first time<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The deal, which is described as a &#8220;<em>significant extension to their existing relationship<\/em>&#8221; that helped <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/o2uk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">O2<\/a> to enter the fixed-line market for business customers back in 2009, is said to be worth &#8220;<em>several hundreds of millions of pounds<\/em>&#8221; and includes connectivity, infrastructure and professional services agreements.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bq1\"><p><strong>Ben Dowd, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/o2uk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">O2<\/a>\u2019s Business Director, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>We have seen a huge increase in the demand for integrated ICT services since we launched our first offering three years ago. Our relationship with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/britishtelecom\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">BT<\/a> Wholesale brings together world-class mobile and fixed-line connectivity so we can offer our business customers the best possible suite of services now and for the future. This deal supports our aim to help UK businesses grow<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"bq1\"><p><strong>Nigel Stagg, CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/britishtelecom\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">BT<\/a> Wholesale, added:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>This takes our existing relationship with O2 to the next level enabling further expansion of the services O2 can offer to its business customers.
