{"id":7509,"date":"2014-09-01T15:24:17","date_gmt":"2014-09-01T14:24:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/?p=7509"},"modified":"2014-09-01T15:24:17","modified_gmt":"2014-09-01T14:24:17","slug":"uk-isp-axis-offers-6-months-half-price-superfast-fibre-optic-broadband","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2014\/09\/uk-isp-axis-offers-6-months-half-price-superfast-fibre-optic-broadband.html","title":{"rendered":"UK ISP Axis Offers 6 Months Half Price &#8220;Superfast Fibre Optic Broadband&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hull-based business ISP <a href=\"http:\/\/axisforbusiness.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\">Axis<\/a>, which boldly claims to be &#8220;<em>the UK&#8217;s leading business telecoms and utilities provider<\/em>&#8221; (rivals may disagree), has announced that they&#8217;re offering new customers six months half price &#8220;<em>superfast fibre optic broadband<\/em>&#8221; (note: it&#8217;s actually an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/fttc\">FTTC<\/a> product not <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/ftth\">FTTH<\/a>\/P) to all new small and medium sized business customers.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Apparently customers who take the &#8220;<em>UK&#8217;s cheapest<\/em>&#8221; deal for businesses will get Internet download speeds of &#8220;<em>up to 40MB<\/em>&#8221; (note to Axis: that should be Mb for Megabits, not MB for MegaBytes) at <strong>\u00a312.50 per month <\/strong>and then \u00a324.99 thereafter; there&#8217;s also a <strong>\u00a330 one-off connection fee<\/strong> and a standard <strong>12 month contract<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bq1\"><p><strong>David Meyers, Managing Director of Axis, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Axis for Business has been providing the best value telecoms and utilities to businesses in the UK for over 10 years. We constantly promote different offers to new customers to help them save on business running costs.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We pride ourselves on being the \u2018go to\u2019 telecoms and utilities provider for SMEs, with our excellent customer service and cheap tariffs. All new customers will be connected with the superfast broadband within 14 days!<\/em>&#8220;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Unfortunately it&#8217;s difficult to confirm the &#8220;<em>UK&#8217;s cheapest<\/em>&#8221; claim given that axis&#8217;s website doesn&#8217;t appear to list what their special offer package includes and the press release fails to clarify whether the usage allowance is capped or unlimited.
