Now the bad news.. that price hike is back.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>At the time <a class=\"shortlink shortlink-28\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/nowtv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"now tv broadband\">NOW TV<\/a> was being plagued by various problems with <strong>capacity woes<\/strong> and <strong>Rights Restrictions<\/strong>, which meant that some programmes could not be viewed because customers either weren&#8217;t allowed due to licence restrictions or because the network was being overloaded with demand. Some problems remain but lately there have been fewer complaints.<\/p>\n<p>Currently NOW TV customers pay just \u00a34.99 per month as part of the services &#8220;<em>introductory<\/em>&#8221; price, but effective from<strong> 16th October 2014<\/strong> this will rise by a little over 40% to \u00a36.99 per month (+\u00a31 more expensive than rival Netflix UK). The <strong>Sky Movies Pass<\/strong> will also take a smaller jump from \u00a38.99 to \u00a39.99 per month.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bq1\"><p><strong>NOW TV Statement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>It\u2019s been over two years since we launched NOW TV, and, for the first time, the price of our Entertainment and Sky Movies Month Pass is increasing. From the 16th of October, our Sky Movies Month Pass will be \u00a39.99 a month, and our Entertainment Month Pass will be \u00a36.99 a month.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We\u2019ve been making some great changes to your Passes to make them even more entertaining.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We\u2019ve added:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u20223 new channels: fun for kids with Nickelodeon &amp; Nick. Jr., and exclusive no contract access to ITV ENCORE<\/em><br \/>\n<em> \u2022Double the number of episodes available on Catch Up and Box Sets<\/em><br \/>\n<em> \u2022An extra 200 movies so you can now enjoy unlimited access to over 800 exclusive films<\/em><br \/>\n<em> \u2022Sky Movies Disney where you can watch over 150 new and classic titles<\/em><br \/>\n<em> \u2022Availability on loads more devices including Android, PS4, Xbox One and Chromecast, giving you even more choice to watch NOW TV on two devices at once, on the go or at home<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>And there\u2019s lots more to come. This October sees new seasons of The Walking Dead, Boardwalk Empire, Modern Family and Futurama joining our Entertainment Pass.
