City-focus UK ISP Hyperoptic<\/a> has decided to follow up yesterday\u2019s big coverage and progress update<\/a> by slashing the price of their fibre optic broadband and phone packages for the first 6 months of service, which sees their entry-level 20Mbps package fall to just \u00a32.50 inc. VAT per month and the top 1000Mbps (1Gbps) option going for \u00a330 (note: line rental of \u00a312.50 must be added).<\/p>\n

As ever Hyperoptic<\/a>’s FTTH<\/a>\/B service is currently only available in parts of selected cities across the United Kingdom including Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Cardiff (Wales), Bristol, Reading, Glasgow, London, Newcastle, Sheffield, Birmingham and Nottingham (note: most of their availability still exists within London).<\/p>\n

The price you pay also depends upon whether you choose to take Phone Line Rental with their packages or instead opt for a standalone broadband solution. All packages come with a 12 month contract term, free wireless router, unlimited usage and customers who sign-up can get a discount by entering the promo code realfibre1<\/span><\/strong> during registration.<\/p>\n

Unlike most so-called “fibre broadband” ISPs, Hyperoptic can actually deliver stable broadband speeds of up to 1000Mbps, although sadly the majority of consumers are not covered by their service.<\/p>\n

Finally it should be noted that Hyperoptic usually charge a typical setup fee of \u00a340 on their phone bundles, which we assume must still apply as it isn’t mentioned on the related landing pages.<\/p>\n
