{"id":9219,"date":"2015-05-06T09:39:52","date_gmt":"2015-05-06T08:39:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/?p=9219"},"modified":"2015-05-06T09:42:11","modified_gmt":"2015-05-06T08:42:11","slug":"no-signal-from-three-uk-home-signal-mobile-booster-for-several-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2015\/05\/no-signal-from-three-uk-home-signal-mobile-booster-for-several-days.html","title":{"rendered":"No Signal from Three UK Home Signal Mobile Booster for Several Days"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Apparently some customers who make use of <a class=\"shortlink shortlink-80\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/threeuk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"three uk\">Three UK<\/a>&#8217;s Home Signal device, which harnesses your fixed line broadband connection via Femtocell technology to boost indoor mobile coverage, complain that they&#8217;ve not been able to get a working signal from it for several days.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The reports (<a href=\"https:\/\/downdetector.co.uk\/problems\/3\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theregister.co.uk\/2015\/05\/06\/threes_home_signal_femtocells_fail_restore_mobile_black_spots\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>) indicate that the device has failed to produce a viable indoor mobile signal for up to five days, although ISPreview.co.uk notes that the issue appears to be sporadic and other customers claim that their service continues to function correctly.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly <a class=\"shortlink shortlink-80\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/threeuk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"three uk\">Three UK<\/a> is one of those mobile operators that doesn&#8217;t believe in the simple concept of a functional and informative service status page, which means that customers have been busy complaining via Twitter, Facebook and Phone support instead.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>A Selection of Customer Complaints (Past Few Days)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Xandercom<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Home signal box down since Saturday, I have spoken to the Executive office who have confirmed there is an issue effecting &#8220;some&#8221; users, given me \u00a310 bill credit to compensate for the issue, and hope to fix it shortly<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Lewis Lack<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>No 3 service for 24 hours now in Newark &#8211; with a 3 Home Signal box installed&#8230; When I manged to get a small signal for a few minutes outside the area and called the 3 help line all I got was that they were closed due to a public holiday .. what kind of mobile supplier is this? No service and no support when mobiles need to run 24\/7!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>[Finally] got through to 3 this morning when I drove 170 miles away from my home and after a 20 minute hold. It seems there are serious problems with their Home Signal service and that is why I have not had any success for 3 days in using my mobile (also my son uses 3 as well). It also appears that I am not the only caller who is affected<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Kev<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Home signal box not working for 2 days now&#8230;.signal not very good away from home either&#8230;.my phone is constantly draining the battery trying to find a signal&#8230;annoying or what!&#8230;..Northants<\/em>&#8220;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The official line from Three UK is that they&#8217;re aware and engineers are working on the problem, although no ETA for a fix has been given.
