I recently reviewed my broadband provider in light of information from Ethical Consumer, which rated Sky a very poor 5/20.  Green ISP was at the head of the table, so I immediately got in touch to find out more.  I admit I was a little nervous to switch to an unknown supplier for such an essential service - especially as I have minimal understanding of the technical intricacies - but from the very first phone call my experience of Green ISP has been excellent!  Paul talked me through the options that were set out on their website, patiently answered my many questions and advised how to proceed and the options later to adjust according to our needs.  I was happy to know that they do not send out branded routers by default - instead advising how to reuse an old box, or where to buy a suitable, cost-effective, generic one.  When the day came to switch, I called twice for support with the configuration of my old router and Paul took time to patiently and efficiently talk me through a maze of unintelligible jargon, until everything was working perfectly.  I would happily recommend Green ISP to anyone who is looking for a new internet service provider, particularly to customers like myself who want to know that their suppliers are working hard to provide services

I use around 1TB per month mainly through streaming Now TV but this brands me as a very heavy user with the affect that the service ix throttled so much at peak times it is often unusable.

I'm on the G.fast 330/50 package paying nearly £50 pm and certainly don't expect throttling at this price point nor with this particular package.

Title: NOT FOR ME
I telephoned Green isp up today enquiring about their service (sales), to be greeted by an answering machine, then telephoned their support number, again to be greeted by the same recorded message.

Someone rang back shortly after and i asked some questions concerning their company and ther prices ie:£75per month and of course their LUU package.

He seemed very defensive and abrupt. He stated that their company do not make profit being 'GREEN' i assumed that this was something to do with it.

However after speaking to him for a few minutes i decided very quickly that this was not the company for me.

All i'm saying is be careful.

Reading the latest review for Green ISP has spurred me to write my own review. I have also been with Green ISP for 2 years and I am always on the lookout for better deals. I tell you now . . . there are none!

For a completely (and I mean completely) unmetered service I have found no better. I have seen cheaper products with awful “Fair Use” Policies and I have seen prohibitively expensive unmetered produces. Green ISP isn’t the cheapest . . . but it’s not that expensive and they do not block traffic, they don’t filter traffic, there is no download limit, you don’t have to worry about off peak and on peak downloads and it’s always fast.

I think I would defiantly be classified as a heavy user. I use the internet for work and entertainment (iplayer, sky player, ITV Player, Joost etc.) and gaming. I have never received a word of complaint from Green ISP.

I had a few troubles with my connected, but it turned out to be a crappy filter . . . and Green ISP were very helpful and patient when I blamed them for the problem.

So in conclusion:
- Good Price – Fast – Good Service – Totally Unmetered – Never down (for me at least). No complaints.

Title: great isp
I've been with Green isp for over 2 years now and have tried to find something better quite a few times. As far as I've seen there isn't a better value deal out there. Down time is extremely rare and last time it happened they rang up to appologise out of office hours as I'd rung up to see what was wrong!

They are a small company with servers run on renewable enegy. It isn't the cheapest out there but bang-for-buck wise, it's hard o beat.

I work from home and have the internet on most of the day- probably classed as a heavy user. I get 8mb down and 450kb up all the time, day or night. no throttling or "fair" usage nonsense, just how a broadband package should be!

Exactly what you\'d expect from a small business (they\'re a MurphX reseller): prompt personal service, support continuity when needed (I had a problem with router connection & they sent a full detailed questionnaire guide to help me tell them what they needed for BT testing) and excellent speeds. Ecologically sound, too, with a tree planted for every new customer. I suppose it would be askin g too much for them to trim their pricing to match \"the rest\".

All in all, couldn\'t find fault with them if I tried.
