Ofcom, the UK telecoms regulator, has today released new guidelines for broadband ISPs and Mobile Broadband operators that call for any Net Neutrality (the principal of treating all internet traffic as equal) threatening and related Traffic Management systems to be "clear" about any service restrictions that are imposed.

European Internet Service Providers (ISP) have gained crucial support from the European Court of Justice (ECJ), which ruled today that courts cannot force broadband ISPs to install network filtering systems that block or prevent access to "illegal" copyright files (piracy).
