android frustration... (wallpapers)

long story short, l was out a few days back and well had a laugh as you do and my wallpapers got changed.. now originally l had a custom lock screen wallpaper which has now been change to something ld rather not have on my phones lock screen.

my problem is lve been through just about every setting l can think of but cant find an option to change the lock screen picture. the gallery/google photos only allow me to change my unlocked screen wallpaper and l see no options whatsoever allowing me to change the lock screen within the settings relating to the options l use to unlock my screen.

suffice to say l need an app to make things easier because for the life of me l cant remember where l originally changed it, and when it happened my friends and l werent exactly in the best of minds to set the pictures on ppls phones lol.

Usually I find that setting under or around the changing wallpaper feature, following a long press on an empty area of the home screen or one of the home screens side-tabs. However this can vary if your Smartphone has a custom launcher on, in which case you might need to identify the launcher and then do some associated Googling.

I kind of wish all manufacturers / software makers would just follow the same process for such things. However in terms of third party apps, I think I've used this before some years ago (not sure if it's still updated)..

indeed, its a real pain because lve checked the security section of my settings and while l can set my unlock option there are no lock screen wallpaper settings, display does have wallpaper settings but just as going through google photos and the gallery set as only offers me to set wallpaper to the unlocked screen.. for the life of me l cannot find anything remotely relating to lock screen wallpapers even if l long press on the home screen with the original loader l just get the same options.

On my phone it's:

Settings-my device-display-wallpaper- lock screen.

That brings up a little screen from which I can choose either gallery or wallpapers.

Timeless, you havent answered Marks question; is it vanilla Android or a skin (hint, most of the big phone makers use their own skins).

On MIUI v8 for instance, both Lock and Unlock wallpaper are set under the "Wallpaper" entry in "Settings".

must have missed that, however from what l gleen from the about phone section is that my version is android 6.0 the kernel version says its jenkins and my build number is pretty much my phones make and model.

however lve looked at all normal settings and l only get the option for setting the home screen no matter the current options lve tried, as it all seems to either be handled by google photos or my internal gallery when you get to the final options there is one button which states "set wallpaper" and it only changes the home screen, not one setting leads to lockscreen wallpapers.

its a Blackview A8 Max, it just bothers me that lve managed to change it in the past but cannot now as there are no options to do it in the usual places. now l just want some app or something that is well reviewed which will just save me the agro of looking for the options which just dont seem to be there.
