Three network 5G roll out making gains

Not as easy as that unfortunately, I beleive existing radio kit needs some compatibility and highly likely up in Chester that it wouldn't be capable.

Vodafone seems to have hit a brick wall in my are with expanding 5G, and that is simply because there is nomore sites that can upgrade due to using 'too many' infill monopole sites.

As Vodafone and O2 over the years have only ever broadcast using low frequencies they are very much lacking in physical sites (specially rooftop or structures)

This is why EE is pretty much racing forward and Three also having access to a fair share of the same site space.
I honestly feel aggrieved by the facing of this mast.

If I stand under it or the other side I get 100+ on both O2 and Vodafone, but my side in Handbridge, O2 very little, though my voxi sim outperforms O2 and Three here more lately.

Somewhat disappointed today. The pole I thought was for a new 5g mast was for another reason and the 5g pole has been refused planning permission. Oh well, the wait goes on......

Aw that's pants, I'd have been devastated if my 3 pole of wonder had been refused sja0001.

Hope it gets passed somewhere else for you.

Hi do you know or does anyone know on a planning application if the installation a pole has been approved or not. When I search for the one in my area. I can search under: all, current, decided. I selected decided and the application that’s been submitted for the 3 pole shows up on this section. Then it says tells me the Decision Issued Date and a date next to the application. Does that mean it has been approved. I was thinking the wording would say approved instead of decided? Does that make sense?
It also says:

StatusDecided - Prior Approval Not Required

sorry if this post is silly but just trying to understand the wording.

Looks like an approval there Nomader. Congrats. (y)

My planning status info was....

Status: Pending Consideration
Status: Approved with no Conditions

Same desired end result. ☺️ 🥳

1) Three is the daddy of 5G, the spectrum holding is superb.

2) Now they just need UK non third party customer care to match.

1 + 2 = 3

Now if they could just get the CityFibre/SSE/Virgin Media backhaul pipes dilemma sorted here for my area as their shared EE RAN has gone 5G already. Three are the only network not 5G.

Mind you £12.50 Voda Lebara is pulling 200Mbps for now :)

Thanks I am happy to hear that. Not sure why different councils use different wording. Think if they just use Approved then that makes it a lot simpler. By the way I came across this site for users in Scotland: https://www.roadworksscotland.org/ which I try and use to see of any upcoming planned works in my area and who are doing the works. Not sure how often they update it or if every company is obliged to update it to get an idea of when work will start. Right now nothing so far in relation to my 3 mast even if I search for future dates like a year ahead etc. However a month or two ago it did show work where the mast is going to be placed where they drew some squiggly lines in the pavement and had opened up some covers on that pavement. However if I look back now on this site those work don’t even show as historic. So not sure if this website is that reliable to be fair. Any site you know that can indicate future work?

I didn't know about that website thanks Nomader.

It is showing current roadworks here so that's good I guess.

Unfortunately I dont know any other sites like that one.

hehe, trust me to check this but it's rather ironic his phone number is with O2 lol.

Perhaps I could threaten to reveal your discovery, resulting in total embarrassment for him, if he doesn't get my hole started on the 27th. :devilish:

https://one.network/ is the place to check for any upcoming work.

You have to sign up to see anything further than 2 weeks.
Thanks for that TallPaul_S. (y)

Doesn't seem to be as accurate as the other site though, lots of current work missing.
