Is Smarty Unlimited truly unlimited?

It's rough times, Every man for himself.
Not at all, it's good to share Lucian but it was too late to post the link because it was dead right after I tried to order it or I would have.

I genuinely thought I'd missed out too because the website just crashed as I ordered it and never recieved any email at all.

Went back to try again and it had been pulled.

Looks like I just made it by the skin of my teeth.

I never discovered it till 10pm, and just after I tried to get the deal it was pulled Bubbles.

I even called 3 in the morning to see why I hadn't received any email and was told that the offer was no longer available they were sorry I missed out blah blah.

That's why I was so surprised the sim just turned up there.

If I had spotted it sooner I would have mentioned it here for sure Bubbles.

I called them up to ask about the sim because there was not any documentation to say what it was other than pay monthly and the number.

I thought they had just sent me out the tenner rising to £20 offer just hoping I wouldn't even ask what it was.

He said it was indeed the MSE offer at £10 for unlimited everything for 2 years.
if it was finishing yesterday then thats okay. I was just frantically searching round then as im not paying £16 for unlimited like the ultra cheapskate i am 🤣

This is why I had to call them and ask about it, it mentions absolutely nothing lol

Could you test and let us know whether the speed and priority levels change at all? Apologies if you’ve already done this.
Yes no problem Carl01460, so far today speeds are identical on both Smarty and three.

If your good self or anyone wants me to try anything specific anytime, just ask. :giggle:

I guess that’s something, maybe there is no priority within Three.
As far as I'm aware there isn't; O2 loves prioritisation, I guess that's just the way they deal with contention (but it clearly doesn't work)

Yeah it really doesn’t work. I wonder what would happen if they actually turned off their traffic management system and let it be 😅
You wouldn’t notice a difference 😂

Hi Carl01460,

Been checking Smarty & three throughout the day for you and they have been like 2 peas in a pod at all times, so it does look like there's no prioritisation as Bubbles suggested. (y)

Whether there's any difference at crazy high speeds I can't say, I'm only a 30/20 creature here. :giggle:

(Changing to the various APN's makes no difference either)

Quite possibly no difference all around, though it has been noted that Smarty cannot access the 5G network in places Three customers can.

I don’t think there’s been a logical reason why either, maybe smarty got told they can’t use the new poles etc only the old tech for now.

Yes well although Smarty hasn't officially announced 5G yet some have been able to connect to it now and again.

Unfortunately until my three pole of wonder arrives I'll be none the wiser.

That was my main worry about my unlimited Smarty, when my mast goes live I might have no 5G if they still haven't pulled the switch.

No worries now though with my cheapy £10 three unlimited everything for 2 years deal.

Winner winner chicken dinner. :giggle:

It was a Money Saving Expert deal eccles, but I noticed it on Hot UK Deals.

Expired Deal Link

It caused quite a hoo hah on HUKD. :giggle:
I bet it did! Should have been looking properly as just upgraded a family members contract before the roaming cut off to a 30GB £10 one 😬
