New £14 broadband offer from Three

I've checked with tax and VAT requirements on uk gov websites and as long as you earn less than £1,000 a year from your business then the inland revenue isn't interested. For earnings over that sum you have to register as a business, e.g. as a sole trader. VAT requirements are much higher, about £85,000 turnover.
I have a substantial stock of semi-pro quality wildlife photographs that I intend to sell via stock agencies and require a data sim for that purpose. If business is very quiet well, I'll take the hit.

I sell PCs, it's a side hustle of mine anyways and it's not "technically" a business

Dear three, about some business sims you recently sold, listen to this, there is this person called..... :devilish:

I'm not bitter about my extortionate £10 unlimited everything deal.;)

Too risky for non business at home. Don't want to get any trouble. But, I understand why people's switch to business because we all fed up and been ripped off by many personal sim monthly cost more than business sim monthly. No wonder why all the rich get richer and poor get poorer.

My plusnet sim are rip off 30GB data for £10 a month compared to this Three sim £3 a month for 2 x sim only for data unlimited. Why personal sim only always get flobbed off.
It’s actually the opposite - is the risk is with Three should your ‘business’ go belly up and your trading as a limited company. How do you think so many end up ceasing to trade -and walking away from their debts, only to setup again next week under a new company.

In any event the real risk to them is extremely low - this is a “pile it high and sell it cheap” business model.

There is no inherent capital or ‘infrastructure’ build as there would be for example with a leased line - so Three don’t even bother chasing for a company number, let alone anything further like a directors guarantee.

Just FYI the VAT requirement of £85k is for mandatory VAT registration. You can voluntarily register for VAT at any time, I did it the day I started my company as I wanted the VAT back on my purchases

they probably know and also probably don't care, it's still money for them 😂

Well if I tell Three I am not sole trader business at home they will say to me ok u have to look into personal sim instead not business sim!

you lie and you say you have worked for yourself for 3 years. Exactly what I, and a few others have done.

I didn't even have to lie. I said I was about to start trading, which is true. I have photos on Alamy stock website to prove it. They haven't sold yet, but any day now....

where are these cheap sims available? on there site it says £24 a month for business which isnt good.

I own my own small business and its registered.

The deal isn't posted on the website. It might no longer be available as it was a short term offer but you could be lucky. Give them a call on their business number or use online business chat. Don't forget the price is for unlimited data sims. If you use them for phone or text you will incur PAYG charges.

Give them a call on 337 (if you're a three customer already. Can't remember the number for non-three customers but have a look on the site. You can also try live chat but that never worked for me.

I'm just waiting for mine to land now, the operative/sales person I dealt with said they'd be here no later than Wednesday. I hope so, as I want to get them setup and tested before I disconnect my other Three SIM that is due to end really soon.

Wow that's faster than G.fast 330/50 and FTTP 330/50 sadly there is no 5G coverage in my area for Three. So, I wouldn't bother order one.
