EE

Not much fun here in Kilwinning at the moment folks, this has been on going for around 3 weeks now, with all 4 networks.

No idea what's going on, but speedwise with the 2 working sims I have, they are really bad.

Hope something improves soon, especially with my main three account.

Just wanted to share my woes with you folks.

It can only get better right? 😊

Bet you're all glad you're there, instead of here. 😁

Oh fun and games today :ROFLMAO:

It's it just Kilwinning or problems nearby as well?

Very strange for all 4, Would make sense if it was o2/Voda or Three/EE as they share masts. Unless all 4 of them have a shared space somewhere?

The only shared mast is Voda / O2, but yes it's unusual for them all to be under the weather all at once for such a prolonged period.

Perhaps there's just a shortage of engineers.

I bet the problem is upstream to the operators, sounds like some main fibre feed for the area was affected.... Or some wacko took an axe to all their masts. :))

Not sure what it is Lucian, very annoying though, my download speed is around the 10 mark now, although I guess it could be worse, like Vodafone's 1.

I better not tempt fate though. 😁

Or someone didn't check the documentation stating the location of the fibre feed and "accidently" cut straight though it like the village idiot contractors that exist but then again, it could be someone so upset with the service that they decide the only way to make a point is by taking out a mast or two...yes I don't see the logic either but I've never heard of all 4 operators being affected so hopefully it's fixed soon.

Hope so hle13. 🤞

Maybe you've been paid a visit from the fibre seeking backhoe..

Lol yeah you might be right dabigm, no changes as of yet, all 4 networks are still unwell.

EE keep reverting to 16 hours every couple of days, their 16 hours has lasted nearly a month now. 😁

Do the mast(s) serving you come from the same location or site? Perhaps there’s an issue with backhaul and they’re waiting for BT Openreach to correct the problem.

What kind of issues are you running into? Overall connectivity or slow throughput speeds?

The main O2 / Vodafone and EE masts are quite near each other Ewan but the three mast is out in the country.

There's also Vodafone monopole very near me too which was really slow too.

Currently at 7 megs, used to get 30 but during the weeks its been getting steadily worse.

It's maybe just a coincidence all 4 networks are having problems at the same time, no idea to be honest.

I miss my 4K streaming, and not enjoying updating my xbox games.

I completely sympathise. We suffered a ton of issues with VM in 2020/1 especially during the lockdowns, so I got the 5G as a "backup" link. Pretty soon after using it we decided we didn't need to keep paying for two connections and since the three 5G was faster and cheaper, we opted to ditch virgin media.

My thinking at the time was, well I also have a B818 in addition to my CPE Pro 2, and my work gave me an unlimited EE sim and they were fine with us using it for internet, so that could be my backup.

But then we suffered a similar thing. Both EE and Three had massive issues. It was around about the time when they were doing the refarming of all the frequencies. We had another problem when the power went out. No problem I thought, the masts will have generator backups (and I have a powerwall) so I can continue... nope. Speeds were horrible, and i was shifted to a mast much further away on B20.

Now we have VM on a uswitch deal for £28 for 350mbit that is my backup, and 5G is my main link. VM coming up for renewal and they want £58 for the same package (ha, gigabit is cheaper!!)

Hope they fix it soon for you. Never known all the networks suffer, so yeah probably either power or some fibre / data centre issue.
