10 Months and Counting for Virgin Construction.

Hello,

I have had some seriously disgusting service from Virgin Media who have since January advertised the availability of Super fast Fibre to my property. It is now 10 months since i put in a request for the service and construction is still yet to be completed. I seem to be in an endless cycle that follows:

Receive Construction date > No one shows > Chase Up/Complain > Receive Apology > New Construction date Given

I have submitted a complaint that is now over 8 weeks old and can be taken up with CISAS and have filed a subject access request to try and get the notes etc. from my account as i'd like to know what is actually going on as no one seems to be able to give me any idea.

Can anyone provide any advice on how to proceed or get them to listen to me as it feels like they just don't care. Despite us being Broadbandless for 10 Months despite them advertising the service as "available."

It sounds like you're already doing everything that's possible. Do you know if your area is one where Virgin Media have only recently deployed their network or are there others in your street that already have the service? If it's a new area then sometimes big delays do happen, often due to a problem getting permission / agreement for certain work with local utility firms or councils. However 10 months would be on the excessive side, albeit not unheard of.

UPDATE -

After 10 Months the construction work has finally been completed. Can't quite believe it took that long to dig a roughly 6 inch wide and 2 meter long trench on the footpath outside my house.

Now i just have to wait for the "Home installation" to take place and i can see if the ordeal was worth it...

Anyone think it would be possible to be compensated in some kind of way?

Such as significantly discounted or even free Broadband for at least the length of time that they disrupted us?

Did you have to pay something when you ordered ten months ago and they've been holding your money all that time fobbing you off with excuses?

You'd be surprised of the amount of contact and paperwork involved for this
