made me laugh to see the parasites at 186K in (under the mask of firenet) has so graciously stepped in to offer free and easy migrations to ex prodigy customers.
i hope any prospective customers check out the previous form of 186K under all its disguises and keep well clear of this vermin of the internet world.

Lobster, i was one of the 2000 V21 caught up in that fiasco.
Sounds a very similar story transfered to that ISP against my will, wait two weeks, wait 5 days, wait 10 days etc, then told apply for a cease. To the eyes of the onlooker it sounds like they are doing you a favour, in all just keeping it inhouse.
Reported them to Office of Fair Trading and Offcom several times. When BT tell you Netservices hold your MAC code and give the phone number, confrontationally and blatantly denied. More than 2 months passed and 100's of hours on the phone namely to the group of companies associated before 'cut off' almost every time. Thats service.
I regained control of internet connection very very late December.

Now theres another group of companies who buy up others, i detest even more and stems back from this period as well.
