No problem.

I bet ya looking forward to getting DSL aint ya :)

Hope you take the time with your choosing of an ISP, because your prolly gonna be stuck for 3 months if it doesnt work out well.

My access with Silvermead is almost sorted now, its just the downloading from non-pp's slowing when uploading that needs sorting, which I reckon is the caching servers. Stephen reassures me that it is being looked into, no timeframe as of yet :(

Yeah ... I'm looking forward to it. I will prolly go for a 2MB Datastream product and just chance it for three months - not sure if it will be with SM though.

The upload thing, though worrying, won't really affect me as I do hardly any uploading ..... just the odd web site and most of the stuff there is blogged with Geeklog now so no HTML/PHP editing unless I'm doing a redesign.

The worrying thing is the "no timeframe", that's the same poor communication that let me down with SM before. I understand that there can be issues however, if I were to say no timescale in my job I'd be getting a serious talking to ......

Aye it does bother me a lot, because others on other providers dont get it, but I don't know anyone personally connected with a Telefonica reseller to ask them.

I do really hope that it will be sorted soon, then I will be truely happy with my internet provider, until then I can't be really.

I dont really want to move, as its not that bad, and I will have to go back to dialup for 1-3 weeks depending on how fast things happen...but then, I could be rid of the problem if i went to IPstream, because I imagine this problem will exist on all Telefonica services

I went there, no signup needed.

There were a few queries about speed and 712 errors but, in fainess, mostly issues to do with BT not pulling their weight.
