4G home broadband for very high data usage?

I'm in a location where 4G mobile broadband is currently my best option. With Asda Mobile (Vodafone network) I get about 25-30Mbps download, compared with 8Mbps for my wired connection.

My issue is the 600GB-1TB fair use limit that all the "unlimited" mobile data options seem to have. I didn't think this would be a problem, but between streaming TV, some heavy downloads (e.g. 100GB of Baldur's Gate 3), and backing up to a cloud service I've ended up hitting 1TB this month.

As an aside, it annoys me a bit that they can say stuff like:

Only to cut off my connection as soon as usage hits 1TB. I get that they need to stop abuse of the network, but to me it seems like false advertising. I just think they should be honest and transparent about the limits.

Yes, using more than 1TB in a month is rather excessive and I can make sure I use less than that, but I would like to be able to use e.g. cloud based photo storage and stream high quality video as much as I like without having to think about it.

TLDR: Are there any 4G options that tolerate some data usage abuse?

I don't mind paying extra - I've heard that some people use business broadband for extra data allowance, but then I've seen other people suggest that they're limited just like home broadband?

If you can get a Three Signal, that would be your best bet, they are 100% unlimited with no throttling or any other shenannigans,

We often run up to 4Tb a month through ours and have never had an issue,

YMMV depends on your area and if you can get a decent enough Three Signal, and also what the load on your local tower is, but well worth a shot.

Yes try out a Smarty SIM first and see how you get on with that before you commit to three.

You can get Smarty SIM's most places including Poundland etc.

As Stageshoot said, three are the only network with a truly unlimited allowance.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately Three doesn't have a signal around here. I'm not sure about EE, but local people all seem to use/recommend Vodafone.

I've sent off for a VOXI SIM to give them a try. I might end up keeping the Asda SIM and swapping between them if I'm using a lot of data.

Where are you seeing Lebara unlimited for £9.99?

Via Uswitch

It's 3 months at £9.98 then goes up to £25. But the deal is always on so you just cancel at 3 month point then get the deal again. It's not like you need to port a number if it's just used for broadband.

Grab a lebara sim for £9.98 and a uswitch smarty unlimited £16 use both sims unlimited use the sims 3 days for lebara and 4 days for smarty that would keep the usage well under 1tb.

Or use smarty for one month and next month use a Lebara sim
