Thank you to everyone for the help.
We’ve just exchanged on the property so building up the shopping list now!
I am thinking at the moment:
DrayTek Vigor 2862 (non Wi-Fi)
Mikrotik SXT LTE6 ( I don’t see us getting 100+mb so the 10/100 lan should be ok)
Initially I think I’ll leave the BT whole home disks running as that will give me a Wi-Fi bridge between the router and the rest of the network (I.e surge protection) but at some point I’ll switch them out for Ubiquiti kit.
EE £40 a month for 200gb- is there anywhere else I should be looking or is it best to just get the plan directly from them online? I guess I can have a chat and see if they’ll do a sim only deal but I’m guessing it’s unlikely!
Or is the consensus to go for an unlimited phone sim for £35?
I might have mentioned before that I wanted a 4G plan that covered business use as a broadband replacement - EE sold me an unlimited phone SIM for £27+VAT, which is cheaper than the personal variant.
Why pay £40 for 200gb when unlimited is £35, both are EE.
You can even pay less than the £35, register an account setting up some contact details and then stick the £35 unlimited sim in the basket but do not purchase, they should contact you in 48 to 72 hrs offering a price reduction,
