have a deleterious impact on the living conditions of nearby residents by overbearing and dominating the area.
Off to grab a thesaurus.
Deleterious aka harmful...

so there's a 5g blackhole confirmed in this area yet the mast is being denied for being harmful?

Can't be good for your mental health to keep hunting for this kind of news..

I'm so sad about how 5G is perceived by the masses.

BBC telling everyone it's worse than 4G.
Reddit people complaining that "5G sucks"
OAPs demanding masts get removed

It's all so tiresome :( But I suppose i'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. I love 5G and want to see it deployed more. I know there are people in horrible broadband situations with less than 10 meg, who would love to get a chance to try 5G.

In my local town, many masts have been denied. They never ever state that a reason is because "5G is bad" or anything like that, it's always "spoiling the view" or something. Boohoo, that eyesore of an industrial estate at the end of my road spoils my view, of a beautiful park and marina, so is seeing every builders bum crack down there.

In my town there are anti-5g stickers and posters, anti digital ID and talk of the "great reset". England is unique to being affected by anti-5G and actually listening to the nonsense. Ireland is covered in 5G, the town I moved from is covered in it, there are protests against it around Ireland but luckily the council can understand that 5G isn't going to fry the whole town so it's approved and they eventually shut up and move on with their lives.

Mast burnt down on the industrial estate near my house. Newspaper said it was an "anti 5G" group. The mast was 4G and always had been since I've lived here. I honestly can't stand these people, can't we ship them all to Pitcairn or something ? they'll enjoy the no 5G there.

Just wondering did they put it back up and if so was it 5G afterwards? If i was the mobile company and make sure it was 5G if I had to put it back up again.
I was impressed by their stupidity when 6G (Fixed wireless I believe) started rolling out and I read comments on the facebook group from people who suggested objecting to 5G masts in that area because "6G's already here"

They did put it back up, and no it's still 4G.

Was there not some type of law that was made a while back to make the installation of masts harder to block specifically so people wouldn’t reject it for silly reasons like ‘keep our village in the dark ages’

Yes and just a few days ago https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/planning-rules-for-5g-masts-in-england/ but LPAs just ignore it and go with whatever the comments say - even better for the nimbys if they can convince someone at the local Echo to make some shitty article about it

To be fair though, there are so many different mast designs. I don’t think anyone can complain about how masts look. I mean they could have a tree style mast. Not a very pretty tree, but you get the point, there are ways.

Yes and no, they all kind of look the same to the general eye. The Three phase 8 ones look nicer than average.

I'd like to see more designs, maybe one or two victorian style ones etc to be a better match in "sensitive" areas.

That said, you can only please some of the people....
Let's not forget Eiffel tower was fiercely opposed by parisiens..
