Hi folks

apologies for noob question.
I receive my new 5103E router tomorrow and was wondering how I educate myself on all the B** I hear mentioned.

is their a specific app or website that’s best for identifying which mast relates to which / frequency/ channel , networks etc.
Im hoping to do some SIM card testing at the weekend and want to try identify the best outcome .

TIA

UI is a bit all over the place, but once you get the hang of it it gets easier.
Go to "Provider" and pick your chosen one, then go to "Search" and input your location (post code) in "Enter street or city name" field.
Let us know how it goes.

Ultimately it is the practical tests with the SIMs that will tell you what you need to know though and do not forget to test also at peak times, because that's when it usually gets bad.

When you get the device, once you have found the optimal position, leave band selection on auto .. Also go into system monitor and select Cellular WAN Status, you then can have the page auto refresh - ie live stats.

Also go into Maintenance and select user account and change the idle time out so that you don't have issues staying logged in whilst you are monitoring and tweaking the position of the unit..

Also ip passthru is pretty easy to set up..

Voda and 3 merged with 40MHz of band 32 would be crazy
Even if they were allowed to keep it post merger, you'd need a device that can aggregate B32+B32 to get maximum throughput - and I don't know of any.

For capacity lift they'd need to deploy even more radios to support the two independent carriers (non-CA) - Three already use 6x 2*2 radios for their B32 4*4 deployments (which is why it's an obvious choice for nighttime power savings..)

so much info..thanks guys.
So is it best to download all bands or would this already be done if unlocked?
Does the App show you which bands are already on the router?

Sorry for all the noob questions
