5G speed drop with B32 addition?

Recently, my local mast was switched off for the day and when it came back online, the 5G speeds had dropped from about 600mbps to 350ish Mbps. I was trying to figure out whether it was 3 or EE that was upgraded, but it was 3 switching on B32. B32 works really well (on my S20+ 3CA (1,3,32) I can get over 250Mbps on 4G) but I'm still confused about the drop in speed and not very happy with it either as I was planning to use 5G internet. I'd still take 350 over 50mbps any day, but still it's not a shade on the old 600.

As it's an early 5G device it could well be a similar limitation as with the Qualcomm X52 modem whereby the bandwidth of NR is restricted when there are more than a certain number of 4G streams - for the X52 it limits to 60Mhz of NR when >4 streams of 4G

my iPad seems to see the same results, and that's only just been released

on another note, how do I get into field test mode on my phone?

Then it's possibly not that then, but I don't think anyone has analysed the 5G capabilities of the latest iPads in such depth (and it's hard to without having an SDR)

fair enough, but it's been ever since they added B32 so idk. lots of people have been using 5G broadband recently though as they've realised how much better it is than VDSL so maybe it's backhaul contentation and B32 is just a bit of a coincidence. I'll hope 3 upps the backhaul to 10gig at some point since it's clear it's on a 1Gig connection.

@Bubblesthefish6 did you end up buying the Huawei CPE Pro btw? Cause you can put the sim in there and HuaCtrl will tell you the channel width.

Should I send you my trusty Mi 10T Lite? :))
