A "3" data SIM in an Android phone

I've got a "3" data SIM (24GB in 24 months) which I've used in a 4G dongle from time to time. It works fine in that.

If I put it in an Apple iPhone it works for both data and (incoming calls).

In an Android phone (Nokia G50) it works fine for incoming calls but I can't get it to work for data.

I've tried a couple of different 3 APNs and I'm somewhat puzzled.

The phone worked fine on the old "3" "free data" SIMs until "3" ended that little wheeze.

Any ideas?

I believe that while they no longer offer Three Data Reward sims to new customers, they will still work for those who already have them. Mine still works in my HTC with no issue which is on the “three.co.uk” APN.

From 23 May 2022, we removed our Free 200MB offer from MBB PAYG Data Reward plans and no longer accept any new registrations. Note: Customers who have registered already will continue to receive the 200MB every month for life and the following information is still applicable.

I had three of the 200MB reward SIM's, I used them in my tablet.
They all stopped auto topping up a few months ago now. :(

Mine never topped up automatically, it would always come up as “Other” or similar but now that they’ve updated the 3 app I don’t see it.

Just tested mine, and the 200MB's seem to still work as normal - you just can't see how much you have used/have left anymore.

I'm kinda hoping that using data counts as a billable thing to keep the account alive - because I don't really want to have to go through the hassle of adding actual money to the account to stop me losing my number...

I wonder why all 3 of mine just stopped renewing?
Not too bothered as I only used them in my tablet.
Hope you have more luck than I did Hello1024. 🤞 😊

Hopefully, considering that seems to have worked for me for the past year or two that I’ve had one - I have never had to make a top up.
