Fkin pile of shyte tiscrapi i emailed them yesterday bcoz no1 had responded to my email i sent on last Sunday. I reported my speeds been down again. They sent me baack an email saying going to our speedtest on our site and tell us ur speed. So i did i use other speedtest so i know wot i was expectin it said 349kps yep 349kps at 8:30pm 3 May 07. They also said go through the list i thought wot. I sent them the speed back and asked for my mac like i always do. i then got email saying we are sorry for the slow speeds please contact tech support and they will talk u through, i thinkin no u can ring me instead. friday 4 may i am going to ring and give them such a kickin that they will give me my mac or i will go to bbc watchdog trading standards ofcom. and tell them that they are false advertising on their shyte website. 1 last thing the number to cancel on the website is tech and not the cancel. Tiscrapi goodbye u are dead

Ring the Cancellation line and get your MAC Code............ telling them youve had enuff ............ 0845 077 4488

Sod the 12 month contract as they are in breach of contract by NOT Providing the service you signed up for ... i recently got shot of tiscali and have never been happier!

Ok you have 30 days in which to use your MAC code but use it ASAP .... ask advice as to what ISP to go to next .... but i would suggest Fast4.... ive had No Problems To speak of since i joined a month ago!

Just get out as Quick as You can ..... Tiscali have lost the PLOT!

you might not have any problems but others have and i recomend anyone looking for a new isp to check the forums for their selected ISP before siging up or your going to lose money again if it goes pear shaped.

Any ISP using eurisp/thus have a hidden 12month charge even though they say its a mointhly contract.

AnyISP using entanet have no hidden ties to 12months it is a true 1 month contract with 30 days notice so max 2 months.

And it looks like they *still* havent sorted out the ADR issue.

Without this, someone having problems will have nowhere to turn.

As far as Tiscali are concerned...they never had the plot. They have always had high complaints on here, and yet they will still remain one of the top ISPs (customer number wise) due to the huge marketing. Im sure you have all seen the Tiscali adverts on TV.

Not Just isps

I agree honest isps, but in this country its not just isps which are dishonest many good business r hard to find. I will be using Be unlimited its a not a 12month contract abit expensive but worth it if the speeds are constant, my brothers on them and told me about them so i would try them.

Not heard any bad reports on Be infact a friend who fits DSLAMs in BTs exchanges said they had some serious equipment.

Changes to our terms and conditions 5/5/07

We are writing to let you know that we have made some changes to the Terms and Conditions associated with our products. These will take effect on 1st June.

1. We have combined the Terms and Conditions for our broadband, voice and TV products into one document to make things clearer and easier to find.

2. We have made some changes regarding our network and platforms, which will allow us to continue to provide you with competitive offers and quality service.

3. BT is introducing a broadband cancellation charge to all broadband providers whose customers cancel without a MAC (Migrate Away Code). We have therefore amended our terms to include this charge for any cancellation where a MAC is not used. Please note however, Tiscali will always offer a MAC to any customer cancelling to go to another provider and therefore in the majority of cases we are pleased to say this charge can be avoided.

Click here to view the new full terms and conditions.

Kind regards,

Mary Turner

Those who want out can try using this as a reason to walk from tiscali without paying for the rest of the contract. As many ISPs are absorbing this charge so no change in the T&C.

Yeah i got that soon after i cancelled, I have 2 months left on contract so May & Junes is wot they have charged me £29.98 is wot i owe, but this should only this months payment, if wot they say is true, so they should not charge me for June.

9 days till be* free connection till end of month. & thanx to my brother 1 free month, cant complain @ that :)

Hi all,

Make sure to use the MAC code in 30 days period. Once the service is up with another provider, ask your new provider to call Tiscali, informing them that you migrated successfully.. and make your own follow up too. Ensure that the agents getting your calls are noting it in Tiscali Account Management System. This notes will be use as proofs and will avoid billing inconveniences. Cancelling an account does not take effect asap. You can check it also using the My Account Section of Tiscali. If you can still access it using your canceled account then it is still active maybe pending or in the process.

hope this helps.
