yeah just read the news post on the frontpage... only just put my cancellation request to Zen as i was thinking of moving over to Ace internet.. but now I think I might not bother... Aready on a pretty good deal with Zen and no bandwidth restrictions. No way in hell i'm changing over just to find myself using 56k modem speeds and paying more for it.

We are not looking at a long timescale here, we anticipate being able to implement a more suitable restriction on service in the coming week which, hopefully, will be acceptable to as many customers as possible.

hmm right... Hope they figure out exactly what there future restrictions are i'd sure like to know before i ever move over. They should have said they would be putting things back to normal after the worldcup.

however, we have upset you too much with the temporary restrictions in place, although we don't want to see you go, we have decided to reduce the minimum contract from 3 months to 1 month for any customers who signed up on 12th June or earlier. We want customers to stay because they want to, rather than have to.

yep sounds like clear warning signs.. This whole things sounds so much like Plusnet and they stink. Where the Ace Internet users you'd think more of them would be over here?

Yes, I agree they are being very fair.

For a start, they have released a statement, and secondly they are giving people the option to get out of it, rather than be tied into a nasty contract.

They could not tell anyone, just change the Ts and Cs like many other ISps do, and get away with.

They could also keep people tied into contracts, which would get them more money, but they dont.

Yes capping sucks, but thumbs up to them for the way they handled it. They have impressed me more than any other ISP recently.

it may be an excuse to introduce caps o.O or it could be temperoily, either way they did release a statement, and offered shorter contracts.

Koogle, which zen package are you with? to get unlimited?>

Ace appears to be much better now the throttling has stopped with a daily 3.5GB cap on p2p downloads...getting a linux ISO atm from ftp at 750K/s

Rice: he's probably on an old home account 512K to 2MB still have no cap (if an old customer) or he's paying £90+ a month for a business account :)
