Gaahhh - why are Pipex so slow on the uptake of ADSL Max? I just phoned them up to ask if they had any idea when existing customers were going to be able to get ADSL Max services and was told that they were hoping it would be "within the next two to three weeks".
They've been saying the exact same thing since the end of March and everytime since when I've phoned up to ask about it! And each and everytime they're saying that they've got to wait for BT to give them some magic piece of software.
It's starting to annoy me now - I keep thinking about moving ISP - but then they say it's only going to be two weeks and I end up thinking that it's not worth the hassle to switch ISPs for the sake of two weeks. Beginning to think that that's the reason why they say "two weeks" because most people who are thinking of jumping ship will instead just sit out the two weeks - only to be told two weeks later that it's still going to be another two weeks.
It's starting to wind me up now that I'm paying £35 for a 2mbit service when they offer a cheaper 2mbit service that I'd have to pay to switch to as they seem to class it as a downwards re-grade!
I just can't help wondering how a company as large as Pipex can manage to screw up something so badly when there are other ISPs already doing the exact thing that they're trying to achieve!
Also - does anyone have ADSL Max with Pipex? I assume that there must be "new" customers with it - just no re-graded customers...
</rantmode>
*sigh* that's better - sorry for the rant guys - just getting irritated at Pipex's complete lack of competence both with dealing with the ADSL Max re-grade and with their customer services lack of ability to keep customer's informed.
