Okay cool.
The scancomm sims should be able to use the 3internet APN and avoid the Carrier Nat (At least it did last time I tried using that APN).The only time that you'll see a difference is if you were specifically comparing Three broadband with a Smarty SIM. In this case Three don't have CGNAT (Sharing one IP Address with multiple users) whereas Smarty do use this. But you're saving a considerable amount of money and for the most part not likely to notice any problems arising from this. Speed and stability should be comparable.
The scancom ones do indeed work with 3Internet. I can confirm from recent experience. The scancomm sims should be able to use the 3internet APN and avoid the Carrier Nat (At least it did last time I tried using that APN).
But the FUP is enforced on them and when you hit it then the SIM will be disabled until whatever day of the month it is when the quota refreshes.
I'd still look at smarty at least initially as that has no commitment whereas the Scancomm ones are for a bunch of time paid upfront.
Yep although I did find the MTU was rather low on that APN for some reason, wonder if there's some tunnelling going on inside 3's network. The scancom ones do indeed work with 3Internet. I can confirm from recent experience.
