Broadband finally came to our exchange. Good news but, when I check my number it gets a fail. But then it says:
"Our records indicate that a line-sharing device is connected to your line. This is the reason that the checker has returned this marginal result and may mean that Broadband could not be delivered on this line"
The above is a bit ambiguous to say the least.
I have an ISDN line but that's not the line I tested, I used the other line to the house. Next door only has one standard line and that produces the same line share message. The house not 50 metres away passes although only for a 512 service.
Does anybody know if it's possible to get BT to bypass this line sharing device or if there is any way forward from this position.
Thanks
