DAMN!! How memory tricks you; I just went back and checked the old photos, it wasnt a Fuji (I did have one, but it was an older 1.2MP fixed lens); the camera I was thinking of was an Olympus C700UZ that I bought in Orlando in 2002.

x10 Optical zoom + x2.5 digital zoom, with PROPER photographic lenses. It was effing AWESOME!!

All the current guff about needing 10MP to blow up to A4 size is rubbish, 2.1MP on this camera made perfectly good A4 prints.

The 1.2MP Fuji I remember as being very good at the time, it was certainly better than the 12MP Kodak EasyShare, although it was limited by its fixed focus lens; as a point-n-shoot though, it was better than the others I tried.
