Any ISP that uses the Openreach network that doesn't use CGNAT?

I was quite prepared to use Giganet as a provider (as my area is soon to be live), only to read online many people who use them are under CGNAT. This is a deal breaker for me, so I wondered if there are any other ISP's that provide a static/dynamic IP address? Was really looking forward to finally ditching Virgin Media but through all their negatives, they do dynamically give out IPV4 addresses. Unfortunately no ISP seems to make it obvious on their web page of what they use, so it seems to be all anecdotal.

Their business packages come with a static IIRC. I'd imagine its mostly the small providers who will be using CGNAT. What are you looking for?

An ISP using Openreach who doesn't use CGNAT is BT... So whats the other requirements?

Matt is right:

https://www.giganet.uk/faq/can-i-have-a-static-ip-address-2/

"Free" static IP on business plans and you can add additional ones if you need to. But their business plans are a lot more expensive:

Consumer: 150mb £32, 300mb £35, 500mb £37
Business: 80mb £64, 200mb £74, 500mb £79, 900mb £89

On the only plan that I get similar speeds (500mb) it's more than double. I heard conflicting anecdotal evidence regarding their IP status. I did a search on their website FAQ for "ip", "public" and "forward" and nothing came back. I used Google and I found this URL in their cache:

https://www.giganet.uk/faq/does-the-eero-support-port-forwarding/

This no longer works so clearly they don't want to say they don't support port forwarding. They do allow third party routers though: https://www.giganet.uk/faq/how-to-use-my-own-router/

I am sad as I had them on my list for my renewal next year. It's silly they can't even support a public IP. I don't need a static one, I am happy with a dynamic public IP. But I guess these days there is no longer much difference between a dynamic public IP and a static public IP. Most people leave their routers 7x24 and in effect you are using a public IP all the time so whether it's the same IP or not it still costs the ISP the same...

Plusnet any good to you? I have a static IP on a residential contract one time payment of £5 to get it. I am on FTTP, previously on FTTC and it moved with me.

A lot of Openreach ISPs are not CGNAT.

Sky wasnt, talktalk I believe isnt (no ip6 though), iDnet is static ip4 and a lot more to be honest.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I was worried that it would be quite a lot of them with CGNAT but hearing back from everyone, it seems like things will be ok.
I did get confirmation from Giganet:

We can confirm that we use CGNAT over our entire network, including any traffic we pass via the Openreach network.

Kind regards

Giganet

Right now Aquiss is a top contender for me, and a lot of people seem to vouch for them.

The problem is that the existing older players in the market have managed to horde IP's so they have given a false impression that the IPv4 crisis isnt real, these new players simply do not have enough IP's in some cases to give every customer an IP hence the use of CGNAT.

In datacentres e.g. IPv4 IP's have become very premium and in the past year have seen costs of 300-400% increases on them, where they offloading their increased energy costs to.

Zen appear to give public IP v4 addresses too. Say page below. I say "appear" because nowhere there I see "public" IP, they just say static. And of course a CGNAT IP v4 can also be static, but it won't be public. I wonder who writes these pages...

Anyway these are Zen vs Aquiss prices:

Zen
(no contract increase)
Full Fibre 100Mb £35 a month
Full Fibre 300Mb £40 a month
Full Fibre 500Mb £45 a month
Full Fibre 900Mb £55 a month

Aquiss (12 months)
Pure Fibre 40 £16 for 6 months then £32 (£24 equivalent)
Pure Fibre 80 £18 for 6 months then £36 (£27 equivalent)
Pure Fibre 160 £21 for 6 months then £42 (£31.50 equivalent)
Pure Fibre 330 £22.50 for 6 months then £45 (£33.75 equivalent)
Pure Fibre 550 £25 for 6 months then £50 (£37.50 equivalent)
Pure Fibre 1000 £27.50 for 6 months then £55 (£41.25 equivalent)

Aquiss is cheaper the first year but Zen is usually cheaper on the second year aside from the 900mb tier where Aquiss and Zen have the same price on second year.
