My renewal comes up next month and going for the £2 deal for 6 months.

Does ASDA mobile still offer free in/out option without top ups? Ditto Three PAYG ?

Any recent first hand experience info appreciated.

Thanks

so how did it go then?

which did you use?

I'll be doing it next week, waiting for my Asda or Three SIM to arrive.

Ordered yesterday along with my new Lebara SIM. Lebara arrived today, no sign of the others.

Lebara even called to try and persuade me to stay.

same here too - re Lebara called yesterday and twice today on a 0207 number ending in 0791, after I requested my PAC, but I ignored the call as want to move the number to the new 35GB for £1.90 Lebara SIM I ordered the day before yesterday :)

Started my move yesterday. Bought a £1 Vodaphone Sim from Asda. Just had msg my number is now with Vodaphone. So will wait until Sunday then start the move back to Lebara. Happy Days

interesting, so which vodafone SIM did you get, that didnt require a top up before using a PAC on it then?

I've just started a port in to Lebara, oddly I started it today but it won't complete until Monday which is longer than normal.

Will update this thread how it goes.

If a port doesn't complete on the specified day and the old sim is dead, what are the chances that the port will complete the next day?
It does sometimes sort itself out the next day, but more often than not when I see it happen, you have to chase it up yourself and spend a few days waiting for it to be manually fixed.

This does seem to vary from network to network a bit though. As much as I don't particularly like the network, I have to give credit to Three and say they are usually the smoothest at number porting and often move the numbers first thing in the morning in my experience. If something does go wonky they have always fixed it the next day without intervention.

Vodafone on the other hand seem the most likely to get it wrong, almost always require you to contact them and wait the best part of a week to get it fixed.

EE and O2 sit somewhere in the middle between the two above.

I thought it was unusual when I submitted my PAC on Tue at 6am that it wouldn't let me pick Wed, most others I've done are usually NBD?

Aye, that's generally what happens!

I'm porting a number from EE to Vodafone, filled out the port yesterday and it's gone over today and it'll go back to EE tomorrow or Monday!
