Anyone done a PAC dance with Lebara lately?

Same here, doesnt give an earlier choice. DOyou think calling them might speed up the process Garet?
Maybe, I assume they fill out the same form as customers.

Is it normal to lose service on Lebara when you’re porting in? 👀

Done 2 ports and all worked 100%. Maybe im just lucky
No-one likes a show off ;)

Apparently you can lose service with them when you port (according to their CS).

I kept asking about it and it happened at the end of the next day. If I just waited I'm sure I would have lost it.
I’m going to assume my port is split… the number is not recognised when you call it, the old SIM is still active for outbound calls and the new Lebara SIM has no service. 😬

SIM is still dead and the number unrecognised when called.

Spoke to someone today and my ‘case’ has been forwarded to a specialist team, they’re going to get back to me (by phone!?) in 72 working hours.

Lebara’s CS is almost as good as Vodafone’s…

So far my Lebara SIM is reactivated, they’ve filled out something to get the port initiated again as it ‘failed’. That process should complete either today or tomorrow, not entirely sure as the CSO couldn’t make up his mind.

Number is still not recognised when it’s called.

@Mobyle what was the process like for you?

It was painless compared to yours. I don't really know what was happening behind the scenes. I wonder if porting numbers is getting trickier due to software bedlam and minimum wage cs.

Bugger knows what’s going on!

CS said it’ll port over by the end of today but the number’s still not working.

I’ll kick up merry hell if they’ve lost the number, it’s a ‘gold’ number.

What's so special about these numbers anyways to call them gold, platinum etc and is there any way to tell whether mines special or not

A gold or platinum number is usually repetitive or sequential, like 0777 111 0000 or 0744 789 1234

The number going to Lebara is in the format 0XXX CCA DDDD but my main number is better there's only 4 unique number in it and a lot of 0s (which ironically confuses people!)

Ah, I suppose mine wouldn't be special given that it's 073xx aaxxbb (would two numbers in reverse sequential order count?). I have 5 unique numbers in mine (I probably shouldn't say that since 4 of the numbers are obvious just by looking at the first half of my number).

Might be more memorable than 'gold' but numbers much like anything are only worth what people pay for them. In my case 99p back in 2007 from a Coop on the Essex coast.

I've had some crazy offers for it over the years but kinda attached to it now.

Day 3 and still no mobile number.

Been told it will definitely come over today, they're working on it as I spoke to them and someone will give me a call back by the end of the day.

Called up to find out what is going on and so far nothing.. They initially said it would be resolved today and now they're saying 24/48 hours.

They're claiming that the port failed with the error message 'SNB invalid' which they have escalated to Vodafone who're investigating (anyone know what that means?).

Called the old provider and they've said the number is absolutely ceased with them so at least I won't get charged for this month.

Pretty sure they've stuffed it up and the number is gone into the night! :o
