Anyone done a PAC dance with Lebara lately?

Surely your number hasn't disappeared...you need to sue them if they assign it to someone else.

It might spring into action in the next few weeks but they’re not very competent and the replacement number given to me is better.

It’d be complicated/difficult for me to take any action.

It’s a secondary number which I don’t use often so in terms of loss there isn’t much I could claim. Even if I went down the route of loss for the potential sale value for the number the effort and cost wouldn’t be worthwhile.

The only real thing I could go after them for is if they sell it on and I somehow found out how much they got for it but the chances of that happening are low.

It might not surprise you all to find that the number’s still dead.

New SIM arrived, both SIMs are currently dead.

Just a hunch but the one just after the PAC expires. 😳
PAC has been used, so Lebara have your number somewhere.
You could request to PAC out of Lebara, if they refuse take it through the complaints process and inform Ofcom that Lebara are refusing to issue a PAC.

They’re saying they need to submit the files again to the losing provider and it should just work. I think their next move will be to try that or attempt the port again then when it fails they’ll ask me to get another PAC which isn’t possible as the number has already moved to Lebara.

If they get it sorted I will get a PAC straight away and take it to 1P and chuck it in a drawer or give it away to someone as I’ve already replaced the number.

I’m only pursuing them because they’ve been so poor, I’m not willing to let them get a gold number which they’ll end up selling on and making money from.

@garetc have you got it in writing that the PAC has been used from the losing provider?
If so you can not get another PAC, I'd take the complaints process as soon as possible.

I’ll drop them a message tomorrow and get them to drop me an email to confirm the number has ported away and the PAC is used.

Spoke with Lebara again today, was told that they have resolved the ICCID issue with the new SIM. They’ve sent the information back to Vodafone who will take 3-days to respond and allegedly I will get a call back when it’s sorted.

Considering I was supposed to get a call on Saturday and today which didn’t happen I very much don’t that they’ll call me back!

Since calling them the Lebara SIM has died again and the number I that should have ported is still unrecognized when it’s called.

This bit here, leaving someone with no service for 3 days while they apparently tell Vodafone that they've screwed up another port in, that's unacceptable.

Just think how great things will be when the merger happens.
Failures like this will be a thing of the past when the merger happens, everything will be super amazing and ports will complete in seconds :D :D

IF they had their ways, there will be no need for port dancing.
They will hold & grab you by the proverbials in a 2 or 3 year bondage ! And will also impose restrictions and roaming charges whencrossing the borders of the 4 countries that makes UK !

Remember in the early days of mobiles (early 90s), there were different prices within the M25 of London and outskirts thereafter? IIRC it was 33 pence per minte withiin the M25 .

100% in agreement :)

Still no number, allegedly there is an issue with the port (no sh*t Sherlock) this time it’s coming back with ‘invalid CTN’

They (Lebara) need to speak to the numbering team who can then speak to the porting team who will be able to resolve this is 24/48 hours (Which 24/48 hours…?).

Definitely been promised a call back tomorrow at 12:00 by a senior complaints supervisor even if there’s no update. 🤥🤥🤥

Can’t shout or be rude to them about it as all they’ll do is hang up and it’s not really the fault of the person I’d be speaking with anyway.

They have committed to me today if they’re unable to port the number they’ll replace it with one that’s as memorable, bet this doesn’t happen.

I suspect the call tomorrow won’t happen and I’ll have to call them. It feels like they’re going to continue to ignore me in the hope that I’ll just go away.

I signed up for Lebara 50gb sim(delivered today), so used Asda mobile to port existing lebara sim number last Friday(signed up for the 35gb Lebara deal), still not ported. I will never use Asda again.

No call back and the number has not transferred yet :D
