Anyone here use the SCANCOM EE sim?

Just wondering when you had to get a replacement sim did scamcom charge you for the replacement and how long had you had it before it died, also did you swap the sim from your phone and router any time or did it just die in the device randomly?
Just wondering because I noticed on their site a plan that came with multiple free replacement sims.

I'd had it since January of this year (purchased from Scancom via their Amazon storefront). It was replaced at no charge.

The sim had been in my B818 since day one and just failed one weekend. I did remove it and try it in my phone after it failed, to rule out the B818 being faulty, but that was the only time it was swapped between devices.

Noticed this a view days ago but has anyone else noticed their EE Scamcom sim showing up on Speedtest.net now as BT
I've shared a much older test where it was still showing up as EE
Don't know if this is the case for standard EE users or just Scancom

Definitely seen a few people saying that they've seen BT instead of EE now

Yes mine changed to BT around a week ago.
As mentioned by @GavinAshford in one of the now deleted threads, it may be because they have moved accounts over to a new core system, or something along those lines.
I'm sure he will be along soon and explain it again. :giggle:

Mines always shown as BT on speed tests - Analiti. I just assumed it was due to BT having such a big ASN range and EE being part of BT. I can't ever recall it showing as EE.

Correction - looking back at screenshots it showed as EE in January but BT for quite a while now. Scancom did have to replace the sim a few months ago so I wonder if that was a factor. Maybe not.

Similar experience here.
Must have been that "core upgrade/migration" GavinAshford was talking about.

Indeed. Accounts being moved between systems in readiness/to allow 5G SA (which is only on the new core) to be billable. I believe it's been a 12-18month migration project, done in batches
