OpenReach just dropped this into the middle of a narrow pavement near our house.

Any idea what it is ?

Many thanks

Perhaps posting a picture would help with us guessing?

jaffacake is a well known telepath, did you not see the mental image he sent you kits??

Mind you, I think he was distracted when he sent to me, I got the image of a hot young woman in a short skirt bending over.

I had a look at the source code for the page and see that Jaffacake did actually try to post an image, except she/he gave a web page URL with an HTML page instead of a direct link to the image file itself and so it didn't display.

http://www.kirkbyoverblow.org/KOConnects/Welcome.html

So I believe this is what the OP meant to post:

The image itself is a bit too low resolution for my monitor, so I can't tell if its the bit that a street cabinet would sit on top (within the plinth) or, perhaps more likely given the domensions, a new NGA Aggregation Node. I think the latter, but need to see a close-up of what's inside as it looks a bit unusual from this angle.

Going by the size of the bricks in the wall, I would say it is too small for a cabinet.

Unless those are Egyptian pyramid sized bricks.
