16p for an SMS is steep. The Vodafone way I guessNo. The carrier charges you 16p for an sms on a pay-as-you-go basis when you don't have a bundle.

Correct. The initial sign up or possibly the re-sign in after changing phone or SIM I believe uses a standard SMS.Is it something that Apple sends to initiate iMessage?
So... we're just going to ignore the fact that Elvis is alive and well and working at Voxi, are we?
No.Is an iMessage treated as a MMS which isn't part of the bundle ?
I have a bundle that's the thingNo. The carrier charges you 16p for an sms on a pay-as-you-go basis when you don't have a bundle.
Hmm, does seem a bit off they do this. Is it even legal? Before I was on Voxi, I was on a contract with Three and occasionally used to end up with a bill for £8.12 instead of £8 when I sent an SMS to a shortcode - not a premium-rate one, but one advertised as "billed at your standard message rate". It is indeed billed at your standard message rate, but doesn't come out of your bundle! There are all sorts of little gotchas like this.
While true, in the background an sms is sent to activate iMessage, and should come from your free allowances.iMessage is nothing to do with SMS, it's all cellular data anyway
Definitely wasn’t back when I worked at VOXI!So... we're just going to ignore the fact that Elvis is alive and well and working at Voxi, are we?
