Are you pleased you signed up with BeFibre (& Questions)?

Relatives can sign up with them and I offered to help to find out more information.

Trying to find some positive experiences of people on BeFibre?

Are you pleased you signed up with them? Pro and cons so far?

Is there anything that you would check with them before signing up?

So far my main concern would be CGNAT and quite a few reports of dreadful speeds.

Can you request a normal dynamic IP address easily without paying extra? They have no need of a Static IP but a Dynamic IP may be needed?

Thanks

Hi, I'm just curious if your relatives signed up with them? We've just had Virgin Media go live here (XGS-PON) with BeFibre coming soon (in theory!).

I've seen quite a few posts complaining of outages/poor speeds/terrible customer service related to BeFibre. Like you, I'd love to hear some positives stories, as I really don't want to go with Virgin Media!

As I could not find any information I have advised against BeFibre for the time being.

CGNAT and reports of extremely poor speeds I am not sure it is worth the risk.

It is good that BeFibre always seem to follow up bad TrustPilot reviews though. There are also a good amount of positive reviews which people are far less likely to post.

Decent price is hard to ignore though but it has to be reliable otherwise it is useless.

I have a few family and friends with BeFibre and generally speaking they’re good and the new Linksys routers are better than the adtrans they used to provide.
It is CGNat by default unless you pay £4 per month for a static IP.
There have been a few outages last year which were mostly on the Fibre Heroes side rather than BeFibre so impacted all ISPs they were always fixed within a few hours.
They offer a 30day satisfaction guarantee so you can try them out and if not happy cancel the contract penalty free.

Only been with them a week but so far they have been good.
I chose the 500 meg package.
Installation was straight forward and more than impressed by the Linksys router.
