Just for fun, when I was in an AppleStore this week, I performed a network speediest on one of their MacBook Air's - and was surprised to discover that AT&T was the service provider, at 30Mb downstream.
This would be no surprise if the AppleStore in question was in the USA and not the UK.
However, given that AT&T is Apple's UK service provider, and that inherently the fibre infrastructure is in in place to provide the service by AT&T, my question is: why isn't AT&T Fibre available to the rest of us in the UK?
