Attention all V21 customers

V21 / Biscit Crap

Totally agree. I never had a problem with V21 until they were taken over by Biscit. Now I having nothing! Can't get a MAC code, can't get online, can't get emails. It's pure hell, as we run two businesses from home.

Spoke too ruddy soon didn't I. 'A couple of days' my ass. Still no MAC number, Still waiting....

Why was I so ruddy foolish to actually take there word. I don't believe a ruddy thing they tell us anymore. So what's the point in them bothering to reply to anyone anyway. It's always a pack of lies, all talk and no substance. Customer-centric my ass. They have no intention in getting any of this mess sorted out, despite all their press releases and service statements. They don't give a monkeys about customer satisfaction, providing a good quality service or care about who leaves or not. We are a month down the line now and nothing has changed (apart from the T&Cs). They just want to take all our money and get away with as little as they can in return. They have done nothing to convince me to the contrary.

That's it.... I've booked 9 days holiday. I've had enough of this Cr@p, time to take some serious action!!!

A dose of Jeyes fluid in the drinking water at Biscit towers should move things along nicely! ;)
FWIW CT I hear on the grapvine that Netservices are still holding back on MAC production and the 'dispute' is still ongoing between them and Biscit.
Oddly enough although NS supply the means to customers of companies currently in dispute with them to cease their lines...they seem not to want to do this in this particular instance...I tried
Dear Netservices person,
I am currently a customer of V21/Biscit and have already sent them my cease request but they tell me they are having problems with Netservices and my request may not be actioned by you.
They say it has something to do with some contractual issue or other that exists between your two respective companies that quite honestly I really don't want to know about. ;-)
The upshot is *I request that you CEASE my Broadband connection on my telephone line ********** with effect of **09/11/06 *or as close to that date as is possible _but NOT exceeding it_...(This being the day my pre-paid subscription for my Internet access expires) and I am hoping you can action this request where V21/Biscit have failed

and this is what I got back...

"Apologies, but as our contract is with your service provider, we are
unable to action your request. You will need to contact your provider
for further assistance.

Kind Regards.

I sympathise with you guys,
We saw this similar situation with E7even where the accounts were split between Tiscali wholesale and Netservices.
A number of approaches were made to Netservices via different means, but they simply will not deal with end-users, only the ISP (who holds the contract)

It's no real help to anyone, but one of the forums is over here,
It's not used much, but Netservices have responded on occasions

After the E7even fiasco, many people swore to have nothing to do with those wholesalers, ever again.

I spent a whole week phoning 3 different Biscit lines and a small fortune on hold. Letf messages on each, text through the website and nothing. It was this week before I was phoned and emailed to tell me the story about V21 having been in dispute over Codes. I have been offered a seamless move to Biscit but I can get a phone bundle and 20 times the BB cap that Biscit gives for £21.99 and the alternative is £1 cheaper! I just want to cancel and get my damn Mac Code. The CEO indicated in a message that all the probs will be fixed by the end of November? We don't know if this includes the cancellation and getting a Mac Code from V21/Biscit. You could be stuck here for months and you can't get off the system. I think this is intolerable and a personal infringement. You can't just walk away as you're stuck with a tag on your line you can't get rid of. This is a limbo situ. They are taking our money and not giving us the right to leave. The V21 prob is now a Biscit one. I am now hopping mad being kept hostage.

I was fortunate I always got a good service from V21 and getting stressed out over this.

I was told over the phone that they couldn't even migrate people to them right now. Presumably it involves a MAC, so why they are touting seamless moves to Biscit as a cure for everyone's problems I don't know?

I keep saying it, but they really don't give anyone any other option than to provision a new telephone line and get that B/band enabled whilst leaving their line unused.

I wonder if we would have a case for out of pocket expenses due to their intransigency...perhaps we should all send them an invoice for costs incurred in trying to escape their clutches..telephone calls, registered letters new telephone lines etc...

Actually, Im so fed up with V21/Biscit that me and my hubby were discussing getting a new phone line. Would send them the invoice with pleasure :D

I've been following these various V21 threads with interest.
I've been unable to connect all weekend and was reduced to using a PAYG Orange dial up service.
I pay for my V21 'service' by credit card and wondered if I would be covered by the terms and conditions that apply to fraudulent deals.
Biscit are after all taking payment for a service they are not providing.

The connection is up and running now but Im still having problems with "@members.v21.co.uk" e-mail adresses (unable to send)

As from a few days ago I cannot access my favorite investment site www.iii.co.uk although I can via BT Click...... so its got to be the Biscit server that wont let me access.

The problems with Biscit have been going on for too long....!!

Hi
I want nothing to do with Biscit or V21 ever again.
The measure of how good an ISP is, is when you need a problem, caused by them, sorted out. Never very well in my troubled experience with V21.
Now Biscit is on the scene. I direct you to a very comprehensive web site
set up by a fellow V21/Biscit customer. Decide for yourselves.
Half way down the scroll you will see :-
"V21 customers have discovered that the trading address of Biscit is also that of an estate agent. It's a tiny little shop in Mill Hill."

I'm one of the many with a block on my isp (V21) and being offered a way back by Netservices.
I think its taking advantage and an expensive tie in to a 12 month contract.
I have spent time and money in an attempt to get a mac from those involved. To no avail bringing me up against a brick wall at every turn.
0870 & 0871 Nos making a nice little earner, £6 waiting in line on eezedsl, for them
and no help from them when I got through.
However I spotted

"For any broadband users who do not wish to take up this migration offer, NetServices will request that broadband is ceased on their telephone line on 24th November. BT typically take approximately ten working days to action such cease requests. Hence, any users who decide not to migrate to EzeeDSL should be able to select a provider of their choice after this period. "

I will just wait till my line is 'ceased' and try to find an ISP worth going with.
