Austrian MNVO Spusu launches in the UK

It needs something, bear minimum the APN Name (forget about User and Passwords) otherwise it will use a default profile if your Device Vs SIM has them stored (most Devices do these days), so what happens on the Data usage if you use EEs APN or have they supplied you with a different APN to use
There is no apn installed or set to it.

Changed apn to eesecure and while gave the same results I did move around a bit more and got better speeds just by chance.

Well you won't get a Data / Internet Connection without a valid APN Profile, the APN is also important part when the SIM Details for Data Roaming, so it must be using the Stored Device Info from the SIM or eSIM, or has Auto Configured itself, so again have you tried using the EE APN or have they giving you another APN to use?

It must use something stored in the esim because I had no installed profiles nor did I have anything set in the apn fields as you can see above. Not sure how else to repeat myself using the same information you see above.

It was blank.

To add, even before the network text me a link to download the network config, it was already working on the web come to think of it - not using WiFi nor using any other sim.

It just worked from activation. I also just reset the apn using the reset button on the apn field page and it removed them all to blank again.

Mystery upon itself.

No, my question was geared to you reporting the fact that the Data Usage was showing as Roaming Usage, hence why I asked the question about have you used EEs APN or one that has been recommended by the SIM Provider.

Neither at this point of realisation. It’s not budged since earlier, 2.3gb or whatever.

I’ll see if it changes tomorrow as I’ve definitely hammered some tonight.

There’s nothing I’ve done that’s changed any result explained above as far as I recall.

Is the profile link if anyone wanted a deep dive,

@CarlO1460 the Austrian apn is mass.at
There's nothing in the mobile config apart from the apn of web, which is also used by Spusu Italia:

APN: web

As soon as you have activated your SIM, you will receive a configuration SMS which will automatically guide you through activation for access to mobile data. Please confirm the instructions.
You can also activate data access manually:

Android:

1. “Settings” menu
2. Go to “Other networks”
3. Choose “Mobile networks”
4. Then “Access points”
5. Click on “+” to add another access point
6. Enter the following information:
Name: spusu
APN: web
7. Save these settings or go back to return to the access point list.
8. Activate the "web" access point by tapping the corresponding dot/circle on the right edge of the screen (green = active)

What network does it say on the status bar? I'm intrested to try one of these Sims on my android as it'll give more insight as to how the network is operating (if it's perma roaming etc)
I just bought one to compare to EE, if you want and if I can generate another eSIM ill pm you it in a few hours so you can test it

I believe the original eSIM is reusable - just needs removing from one device before being re-added to another

You get a code sent to your email, and you have to text it to a number to active the eSIM but I never got the code, going to ask customer service now

For those who unable to get eSIM because the phone model not support but this one will do in many phones!

Been confirmed today that spusu does indeed unlimited with no speed cap or download cap as long you using it for mobile phone (not the home broadband because they will know u are using more than 1 device in the household from the router) was finally told that mobile can use at least 600GB usage acceptable in a single month! Anything more than that will be suspended your service for violation of this policy. Price will freeze at £19.90 per month inc VAT until 31st December 2024 if signed up before 29th June 2023.

So we are back to the same old argument of, is a FUP of 600gb of Data Use per month enough to be classified as and called a Unlimited Data Plan.

I know sick of it when it say unlimited data plan but have FUP policy of 600GB should never put UNLIMITED DATA, should have put UNLIMITED (600GB CAP) instead

+1, that works well, go for the cheapest one.
