I'm about to have my Community Fibre 1GB package installed and have a new UDM-SE that I intend to use with it. I currently have an older Unifi set-up (non-fibre) that I will repurpose the access points from for use with the UDM-SE.
I'm not super technical, so grateful for any advice as to what (if anything) I should request during my install.
I presume I will have not requirement for the Linksys router, but one will be left during the installation anyway? Or will the installer only set-up the equipment with the Linksys router and I'll be left to switch in the UDM after they leave?
I have read (on Reddit from someone getting the 3gb service installed) that people have asked the installer for a SPF+ module which allows the ONT to be linked into one of the UDM-SE SPF ports. Is that the best option for me? I presume that for the 3gb service this is an advantage (as the UDM ethernet ports at 1gb) but won't offer much (any?) performance benefit for me on the 1gb Community Fibre package?
Anything else I should consider?
Thanks!
