Badasafish

Hello I thought I'd stop lurking and post too.. I've been with MAAf for at least 2 years now .. and the service (ha) has gone down hill .. main gripes , engaged tones, email server and the so called system status page. The 50p a minute chaps are no help but I do hav eto say the people at Brightview do make all the right noises when you contact them .. doesn't help though As I'm looking to get Broadband very soon (subject to survey) .. shame as I like being paulgale@madasafish.com!! the coolest ID on the web !!

Guys,

Thought I'd let you know that the madasafish owners read these pages .. and are fully aware of the problems. Just had another conversation with Peter Brady , I'm eagerly awaiting he to return with me with some Good <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> news about the unmetered service .. Ie being able to use it !!!

Being with Madasafish from day one I have to agree that the email address is the best part of the service. But did you know that when you leave the unmetered service you are still a member of the PAYG/0845 service and your username is still active? This means your incoming/POP3 email account remains open. Your outgoing/SMTP email will be unlikely to work however.

Just leave them while you've got the chance. Vispa is the number one ISP these days. Excellent connectivity and the amazing technical support.

Brightview may one day improve but as far as I see it the best decision I've ever made was to leave Madasafish earlier this year - and no, Peter Brady says that they "can't really hold members to the contract" ... e.g. no 12-month contract in complete hell!

I cancelled my MAAF off-peak account last year when Brightview took over (didn't like the new T&Cs), but kept the 0845 PAYG account. And I've still got it as a back up, despite now having ZenADSL :D . I had to lose the e-mail account though - too much spam courtesy of some moron getting hold of it and selling it on.

Buy your own domain name though - they're even better!
